Kara Ireland D’Ambrosio is a lecturer at San José State University, teaching music education courses and supervising student teachers in elementary and choral music. She also continues to teach general music and choral music at Woodside School, where she won a Grammy Gold in 2002 for Excellence in Music Education. Woodside has won yearly national recognition since 2002 as one of the “Best 100 Communities for Music Education in America.” Ms. D’Ambrosio has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of New Hampshire, a Master of Music degree from Holy Names University and she holds National Board Certification. She is certified in Kodaly and Orff-Schulwerk, as well as Music for the Unborn, and she serves on the CMEA Bay Section Board as the Special Representative for Classroom Music.
